Over $75,000 in funding has been awarded to teachers over the last five years.
Some of the Maroa-Forsyth School District Foundation previous awarded grants include:
- $2000 for 1st grade classes for ELMO document scanners
- $10,000 for Chromebooks for the Middle School
- $500 for 5th grade classes Snap Circuit Pro sets for science
- $800 for Middle School quarterly book club
- $1,000 for literature for 3rd grade classes (approximate amount)
- $4,000 for science equipment for High School lab science course
- $3,500 for science equipment for High School organic chemistry course
- $2,000 for computers for the special education classrooms
- $1,500 to sponsor a health fair for the Grade School students
- $2,400 to replace microscopes for the High School science department
- $9,000 (over a 3-year period) for additional library books
- $3,500 to update equipment for the Middle School science labs
- $6,400 for a kiln for the High School art department
- $1,000 for document scanners for the Middle School
- $8,500 for band instruments
- $500 for nonfiction reading materials for Middle School language arts
- $4,500 for formal wear for the High School choral department
- $6,500 for equipment for physical science lab activities
- $1,500 for social work curriculum
- $2,000 for Kindergarten learning rugs
- $1,100 for a digital dictionary/thesaurus for Middle School language arts
- $1,000 for a skeleton for Middle School science labs
- $2,200 for document cameras for the Kindergarten program
- $2,500 for equipment for the High School greenhouse
- $2,500 for performance mirrors for the High School dance team
- $4,500 to assist the District with the purchase of new band uniforms
- $2,900 for document cameras for the Second Grade program
- $1,800 for High School fitness equipment
