Repair, Seal, and Striping of the Maroa-Forsyth High School Parking Lot
The Board of Education of Maroa-Forsyth School District No. 2, Macon County, Illinois, is seeking bids for Sealing, Repair, and Striping of the Maroa-Forsyth High School Parking Lots.
Bid packages will be available at the Maroa-Forsyth Unit Office, 641 East Shafer, Forsyth IL 62535 starting on April 12, 2023. Bid packets may also be sent electronically to potential bidders if requested. Electronic bid requests need to be sent to Kristopher.kahler@mfschools.net
Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope in accordance with the Bid Documents no later than 2:50 pm., April 28, 2023, at the Maroa-Forsyth Grade School Library located at 641 East Shafer Forsyth, IL. Facsimile and electronic bids will not be accepted. Bidders are responsible for ensuring timely delivery of their bids; no late bids will be accepted. Bids will be opened and read aloud at the Maroa-Forsyth Grade School Library at 3:00 pm. on April 28th, 2023.
A mandatory pre-Bid meeting will be held at the Maroa-Forsyth High School Library on Thursday, April 20th, at 3:15 pm. At this, time bidders will have the opportunity to walk the parking lots, looking at areas in need of repair, and answer questions.
Prices for repairs need to be specific, and must include: price per linear yard for crack repair and price per square yard for areas that need to ground and repaired.
Bids shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, considering conformity with specifications, terms of delivery, and quality and serviceability, as determined by the Board. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids or any part thereof and to waive technicalities in the bidding procedure. Any such decision shall be considered final.
The successful bidder shall comply with the provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, specifically including the payment of the applicable prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics performing work under the contract.
